Connie Fisher says the throat problems that threatened her career are now behind her.
Oh good for her, I thought, whilst going through my mental Rolodex trying to figure out who on earth Connie Fisher is.
She’s the girl who came through one of those Lloyd Webber / Norton things when they did a search for a star for the Sound Of Music....you know...How To Solve A Problem Like Maria.

It says here she was forced to cancel a solo tour in April because of the throat problems.
That’s the medical terminology anyway.
The music term is ‘not enough ticket sales.’
Following surgery - (lozenges and ice cream), she's once again rehearsing for the lead role in the touring production of The Sound of Music.
Oh good. Is it coming to HMT?
I bet you the wife’s family will want to go and see it.
They have that Von Trapp quality of potentially breaking into a song and dance routine at any moment.
Keeps life interesting, certainly.
Please don’t come to Aberdeen, Sound Of Music touring production...or it’s How To Solve A Problem That’s Right Here.
The other thing with the Sound Of Music is that its on the telly so often you start to resent it.
I’ve said this before...it’s now at the stage where I almost hope the Germans catch up with them, just so the film’s over quicker.
